Keavy Principal- Jamie Clark

Dear Keavy Family,

Any position you fill in a school is much more than a job; it is a calling into the mission fields. I feel very blessed to be a part of the mission here at Keavy Elementary. Coming to Keavy as the new head principal was a trip back home for me. I have many fond memories of my time at Keavy as a former student, and I am grateful for the host of wonderful staff members of old that helped get me to this point of returning to my roots.

Keavy Elementary is a small, community school with a big heart, and we are overflowing with school pride. We offer our students a wide range of opportunities within these walls, and we challenge our students to be the absolute best version of themselves possible on a daily basis. The staff here at Keavy are among the best our district has to offer, and we will continue to strive to provide the greatest elementary school experience possible to our students and their families.

Coming into the principal’s position later in the year, it was no surprise to see Keavy earned a “Blue” school rating, ranked fourth in the district on last year’s assessment, and a whopping thirteenth in the entire state among hundreds of other elementary schools. Aside from that, we had several overall first place district rankings in three other areas on the state assessment. We truly do have a lot to offer our students in multiple areas of the educational process. Keavy would also like to send a big shout out to the overall Laurel County School District for climbing to the number five spot among all school districts in the state of Kentucky.

Here at Keavy, we believe that communication is key to building a positive relationship that will foster success and growth in our building and our community. Our family of staff here at Keavy is dedicated to building positive relationships with our students, their families, and the community around us. We understand the importance of our community working together, along with the school and our families, to build a nurturing environment that will lend to a multitude of success stories for each and every member of our Keavy family.

We strongly encourage our families, and community partners, to come “Soar into the Blue” with us at Keavy and get involved in the experiences that are offered to our students and  their families here at Keavy Elementary. If you have any questions, or would like more information on ways to do so, feel free to give us a call.

Sincerely,

Jamie Clark
